The people who now find themselves victim’s of love has reached epidemic proportions! It is finally time to do something about this pandemic before it’s too late and we cannot reverse its tide and effect. The fact that we pretend and act as though we cannot control who we love has placed our present day society in serious and grave jeopardy! Some of the symptoms of this dreaded disease are:
- codependency
- toxic relationships
- uncontrolled jealous rages
- the increase in the number of 911 domestic violence calls
- the increase in the number of restraining orders
- the increase in the number of extra marital affairs
- the increase in the number of divorces
- the increase in the number of spousal (and significant other) assaults and murder
- an increase in the number of children who are growing up without a proper understanding of love, healthy relationships and higher propensity to sexual addiction
The above symptoms are having a significant impact and affect on our society as a whole and is posing the threat of us loosing our understanding of what real love is. Another possible symptom of a misunderstanding of real love is when you hear phrases like, ‘I can’t help who I love’ and/or, ‘I fell in love’; put in ways that make it seem like an accident or like you fell in a ditch. Communicating love in a way that both make it seem like something uncontrolled and as merely a pure emotion are the key causes to this modern day mental and relationship plague! How we proceed over the next few decades is critical to true Love’s survival! Have you been victimized by a misunderstanding of love? Has this false love that turns good relationships toxic seeped into your life? I have plenty more to say, however I’m withholding the rest of my perspective until I hear from you!
